Crews put in a lot of good work this morning to button up all hot spots and strengthen the line around the fire. At this time the fire on 194 and county road 7 (now known as the Labor Day Fire) is contained and all crews have been released. We would like to thank our neighboring departments who showed up to help Cheraw Volunteer Fire Department, Hasty-McClave Fire Protection District, Prowers rural fire department, Wiley Rural Fire Protection District, dfpc engine 34. And as always we would like to thank the public for their continued support
