Final Public Meeting on Bent’s Old Fort Concept Alternatives Set for October 15

LA JUNTA, Colo. — The City of La Junta, in conjunction with Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site, will host a final public meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the La Junta Senior Center.

The meeting will present and discuss current concept alternatives for Bent’s Old Fort, provide clear information, and collect structured public feedback. Attendees may ask questions focused on the concept alternatives and the Fort’s future direction.

The final public comment deadline is October 23, making this the last presentation before comments close. Community members are encouraged to participate to help keep the planning process transparent and well-informed.
