Obituary

In Loving Memory of Loretta Ann Gleason

Loretta Ann Gleason (Conder), 79, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born on August 11, 1947, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Cecil and Inetha Conder.

Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose family was the center of her life. She was known for her steady presence, quick wit, generosity, and the love she showed to those around her. She made a home for many years in La Junta Colorado and later Sun City West, Arizona.

Loretta worked as an operator for Mountain Bell and later CenturyTel, building a career and friendships along the way. She had a love for flowers, cactus, hummingbirds, tortoises and treasured Southwest and Indian artifacts, and the simple things that made a house feel like home. Above all, she cherished her family and the time spent with them.

Loretta was a woman of Catholic faith, and her faith was an important part of her life. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Daniel Joseph Gleason; children, Ginger Lynn Lorencz (David Edward Lorencz), Jason Joseph Gleason, Kattie Anne Binns (Victoria Binns); grandchildren, Brian James Lorencz, Samara Hope Delagrange, Joshua Dale Miller, Alexander Bravo, Noah Daniel Gleason, and Matthew David Lorencz; great grandchildren, Harmony Delagrange, Ainslee Rae Lorencz, Kali Isabella Miller, Bentlee Roy Lorencz, Rosemary Loretta Elizabeth Bravo, and Briar Delagrange.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Inetha Conder; her in-laws Patrick and Irene Gleason; brother Terry and daughter in-law Valeri Conder; and her grandson, Joshua Russell Lorencz.

Loretta leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

There will be a graveside service held at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta, Colorado, on October 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon in the private room of the Hog’s Breath restaurant.

Rest peacefully, you are loved beyond words and will never be forgotten.
