On October 27, 2026, around 8:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to an armed robbery with shots fired in the 3200 block of Dillon Drive.

Officers determined a female and male had entered the store and attempted to steal merchandise. When confronted by employees, the female attempted to push past but was stopped by another female who brandished a stun gun and tased the female suspect.  As the suspects exited the store, the male suspect pulled out a handgun and fired a shot into the air before fleeing in their vehicle towards south 29th Street.

Dispatch provided officers with information that led them to the 4700 block of Eagleridge Circle, where they saw the suspects leaving an apartment complex. Officers initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to yield, prompting an authorized pursuit. The chase continued through the City of Pueblo before traveling west on Highway 50 towards Canon City.

Colorado State Patrol joined the pursuit and attempted to deploy a tactical device to slow down the suspect vehicle. The chase ultimately brought officers to the registered address of the vehicle in Williamsburg, Colorado (Fremont County, Colorado). With assistance from Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, Colorado State Patrol, Fremont County Sheriff's Office, Canon City Police, Florence Police, and Combined Regional Communications Authority, law enforcement successfully apprehended both occupants of the vehicle.

The female suspect was identified as 39-year-old Amber Baca, who was arrested for an unrelated Failure to Appear warrant involving Disorderly Conduct with Fighting. She now faces new charges including Aggravated Robbery with Intent to Kill and Complicity to Commit Crime. The male suspect, identified as 21-year-old Isaac Baca, was arrested for Aggravated Robbery with Intent to Kill, Vehicular Eluding, Resisting/Interfering with Police, and Harassment.

We sincerely thank our dispatchers for their outstanding communication under pressure as well as our law enforcement partners for their teamwork, which led to the safe apprehension of two violent offenders.
