Support Deputy Joe Pentlicki’s Recovery
Otero County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Pentlicki was in a horrific accident last Monday while helping four injured teenagers. The kids were at the bottom of an embankment after a crash. Pentlicki did not hesitate when he arrived on the scene and started heading down the canal embankment. The deputy lost his footing, fell 40 feet, and fractured his pelvis.
"Even after that fall, in pain and injured, he repeatedly told EMS to treat the children before him," Brittany Johnson, Pentlicki's daughter, wrote on GoFundMe. "That's who he is. A father, a deputy, and someone who always puts others first."
Johnson started a GoFundMe asking the community to help her father cover expenses while he is unable to work. Here is the fundraiser link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-deputy-joe-pentlickis-recovery
