Dear La Junta,

My name is Eric, and I am the son of Thomas "Mr. Tom" Pulido.

First and foremost, our family wants to thank the City of La Junta and its wonderful people. We have been deeply touched by the outpouring of love shown for my father and by the many prayers, kind words, and expressions of support extended to our family.

While we always saw how warmly this community embraced my dad, I don't think we fully realized just how many lives he had touched or how deep those friendships had become. The stories, memories, and heartfelt messages you've shared have brought us comfort during an incredibly difficult time and have reminded us just how special he was—not only to us, but to all of La Junta.

Our family will be holding a private gathering in the coming days. A public memorial service to celebrate my father's life will be announced at a later date. We look forward to gathering with everyone then to honor the man who loved this community so dearly.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving our dad. Thank you for embracing him as one of your own, and for helping us remember the incredible legacy he leaves behind.

With sincere gratitude,

- The Pulido Family
